Our first SuccessfulCACFP Bootcampis now on the books! The CACFP Bootcamp for new employees is designed to equip new employees with a strong foundation in administering the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The training brought together participants from multiple states, creating a dynamic learning environment where attendees could share perspectives and build professional connections.
Over the course of the 3 days, participants explored the history and purpose of the CACFP, learned the ins and outs of applications and eligibility, and gained handson experience in calculating claims for reimbursement. The bootcamp also covered critical areas such as monitoring practices and other State agency oversight requirements, ensuring that new staff left with both the knowledge and confidence to effectively support program operations.
The event’s smaller group size allowed for personalized discussions and practical exercises tailored to participants’ specific needs. By the end of the bootcamp, attendees not only deepened their technical understanding but also strengthened their confidence to administer the CACFP effectively. We’re proud to continue building capacity and confidence among CACFP professionalsand look forward to hosting future training opportunities that support program excellence nationwide.
